CERTAIN BOXING IN THE WORLD TODAY.

@hotmail.com>
I don't know, shawn.
its unfortunate what happens to boxers sometimes.
like Gerald mcllcean obviously.

as this states.

but its a risk they take right?
in boxing. its part of the sport.

when sugar ray robinson true pseudonym walker smith junior killed an opponent in then ring, years ago, the ref officiating the match asked walker afterwards,

'''ray, did you mean to kill the guy?'''

sugar ray robinson, pound for pound considered the best pro boxer ever-  said the following..

''''sir, I was only doing what i'm paid to do. my job.'''
a harsh answer, sort of.

but I don't think he was wrong in saying that, shawn.

Who did Sugar Ray Robinson kill in the ring? - Boxing Forum
It was "a good, clean fight", but Robinson had the advantage in every round except the sixth (when Sugar Ray was staggered twice and hurt). A single left hook ended the fight, Doyle not having been in any noticeable difficulty until then. "That punch knocked Jimmy rigid..With heels resting against the ...
the sugar man was just doing his job.

Sugar Ray Robinson's Deadly Premonition - KnowledgeNuts
Dec 3, 2013 ... In 1947, while fighting as a welterweight, Robinson was scheduled to take on a man named Jimmy Doyle in Cleveland, Ohio. The night before their bout, Sugar Ray had a horrible dream—that he killed Doyle in the ring with a left hook. Terrified, he refused to fight until promoters actually got a Catholic priest ...

that's part of boxing, right?.

comedy gone absurd.
reflective of this.

I suppose.

its interesting.

hagler said before fighting leonard, ''''what about his detached retina?
I don't want to blind ray. you know?'''
and I saw the fight, shaun.

hagler definitely looked like he was holding back.
when he fought leonard.

I remember when I told my older brother who won this fight,

jeff says to me without a seconds hesitation,
hagler'll kill em next time.

but their never was a next time.

leonard wisely wisely'''' avoided a rematch with marvin.

and he probably was wise in doing that.

cause, before facing leonard, hagler had 2 loses and 2 draws on his record.

and all four of those matches we're disputed losses for hagler .
even the draws.

as fans thought he won em.

against willie Monroe, and bobby watts.

also interesting.

nigel benn, after he destroyed one of the best middle weights ever, Gerald mccleland, soon after in an interview said,
i'm a little uneasy in throwing a punch solid, because I don't want to hurt anyone like I hurt Gerald, again.

so, that might have contributed to benns 3 last fights.
in which he looked no where near like the fighter he showed himself to be in all his other matches.

just something to consider in analysing this match-ol buddy.

alright. you've had a bit of time to think about ultimately
that interesting middle weight match.
in your opinion who do you think would have won?
both men in their primes.
both men at their best.
and now, ladies and gentleman, 15 rounds of boxing, for the undisputed middle weight championship of the world,Image result for nigel benn the dark destroyer fighting

doing SOME evaluations on boxing today.

WATCHED KLITHCKO LEWIS. FOR THE FIRST TIME.

I THINK KLITCHKO WAS WINNING THE FIGHT SHAUN, BEFORE THE 6TH ROUND TKO STOPPAGE.

AND IT LOOKED LIKE HE COULD HAVE CONTINUED. HE WAS GUNG TO DO SO.

IT MAY HAVE BEEN A PREMATURE STOPPAGE IN MY OPINION.

I LEFT A COMMENT IN THE COMMENT SECTION GIVING ME OPINION ON ZEE BOXING MATCH.

    FOR THE RECORD

watched a bit of hagler and nigel benn in the process. TOO.

    ESPECIALLY  GERALD MCCLENLAND- NIGEL BENN.

two of the better middleweights in my opinion.

NOT TO TAKE ANYTHING AWAY FROM BENN, BUT 'I THINK 'IF THE FIGHT HAD BEEN HELD OUTSIDE OF ENGLAND GERALD PROBABLY WOULD HAVE AVOIDED GETTING HURT.

MAYBE HE WOULDN'T HAVE WON THE FIGHT AGAINST BENN.

I STILL THINK BENN WOULD HAVE WON.

    BUT,
SOMETIMES, A LOCATION OR TURF, MATTERS. AND CAN EFFFECT HOW YOU FIGHT.

GERALD MCCLELAND WAS A REALLY GOOD MIDDLE WEIGHT.

HIS DOMINATION OF JULIAN JACKSON IS PROOF OF THAT.

BUT, I STILL FEEL NIGEL BENN. HAD HIS NUMBER IN THIS LIFE.

DESPITE THE ADVANATAGE OF FIGHTING IN FRONT OF HIS HOME FANS.

I'D RATE BENN IN THE TOP FIVE FOR MIDDLES. GERALD MAYBE NOT.

    on that note,
shaun, quick question, the  dark destroyer vs marvin haggler. 'what's your calling on that one?
